The Guest House
Be our guest in a Folk Victorian Farmhouse built in 1896
After just a ten minute exit from the highway, you will arrive at our stately brick farmhouse in rural Michigan City, Indiana. Follow your nose to the aroma of fresh cookies waiting for you in the large kitchen that overlooks the farmstead. The common areas on the first floor display unique original woodwork, pocket doors, and beautiful hardwood floors. Gather for breakfast in the Dining Room where you may join others or share an intimate table with your party. The Library contains a guest computer and free WiFi, books, magazines, and local tourist brochures to help you navigate the many recreational opportunities in the area. You can use the Front Parlor to curl up with a book, watch a movie, listen to music, play a board game, or watch the critters from the large paned windows.
Climb the stairs where four guest rooms have been appointed with your comfort in mind, providing amenities that include private bathrooms, original marble sinks, and special features that create warm memories of your stay.
A stay at Tryon Farm Guest House allows the rest and relaxation you have been seeking. Mature trees on the property cool the large wrap around front porch. An outdoor bathhouse high in the trees and open to the sky is a popular warm weather experience. Hike the property and enjoy our seasonal treasures, unique home sites in the Tryon Farm conservation community, and friendly neighbors. Lie in the hammock and listen to the lazy sound of a tractor cutting hay or hear a symphony of bird songs. The chickens are clucking and laying eggs for your breakfast. It is easy to pause and share in the happy energy that is Tryon Farm Guest House.
