Tryon Farm Guest House opened to guests in 2004. In those dozen years we’ve had lots of fun, and shared connections with families and new friends. Watching strangers connect with each other is such strong evidence that the human condition is the same whether you are from the UK, Belgium, or Wisconsin. Our guests most often enjoy similar things, good conversation, interesting activities to see and do, great food, comfortable surroundings, and unique experiences.
When we first began hosting guests smart phones were several years away. Today people use their phones to research the area they are visiting, read reviews of hotels and restaurants, learn about popular destinations, and read blogs about the secret treasures in the area. People love to share their experiences and opinions with others on social media.
Today we introduce our way of sharing by asking you to say ‘Hello’ to our traveling chicken, Wally. This season our chicken, a gift from a special guest, will begin to wander the area with tips, secrets, and news of our local blessings. We’re taking social media up close and personal.
We are excited at the great energy that has recently arrived to Michigan City/LaPorte, Indiana. Wally will be telling our followers about places he visits. Read our blog and follow our facebook page to stay connected. Or better yet, visit us and take Wally with you to share his experiences with other families and new friends.
